Overview
The Annual Meeting of Texas Soil and Water Conservation District Directors is a meeting that provides Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Directors, SWCD employees, and other conservation partners the opportunity to examine issues relevant to the conservation of the State’s natural resources. Speakers from the local, state, and national levels will address attendees concerning a wide variety of agricultural and conservation topics.
2025 Annual Meeting
The 85th Annual Meeting of Texas Soil and Water Conservation District Directors will be held at Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, Texas on September 29-October 1, 2025. Pre-Registration will open in early July.
Hotel Room Block Information:
- Hotel room block will opened July 2nd
- Room rate is $199 for single/double occupancy.
- Please note the following: a credit card will be taken when booking the reservation and a deposit of one night’s stay of $199.
- Cancellations made 72 hours or more prior to check-in will incur a $30 processing fee.
- Cancellations made less than 72 hours before check-in will result in a charge equal to one night’s room rate plus tax.

- Additional Hotel Information:
- A credit card will be needed to make a reservation and a deposit in the amount of $199 per room will be taken at that time.
- In accordance with hotel policy, a maximum of three rooms may be booked per phone call or online session.
- When making a reservation, please be sure to include the guest count for who will be staying in a room. There is a maximum of 4 wristbands for access to resort amenities for each reservation.
- We have negotiated a reduced resort fee of $20 per room.
- Hotel Check-In: 4:00 pm
- A hold for $200 will be taken at check-in for incidentals.
- The hotel offers free parking.
Hotel Wait List:
- The room block will sell out for Sunday night, however we do offer a wait list and have consistently year after year been able to move individuals off the wait list and into rooms. We are confident that we will be able to do that again this year!
- If you are unable to secure reservations for a certain night or any of the nights, please send an email to annualmeeting
tsswcb.texas.gov (subject: Hotel%20Wait%20List) (annualmeeting[at]tsswcb[dot]texas[dot]gov) to be added to the wait list. Requests to be placed on the waitlist will only be accepted by email.
In the email, include the following information:
- Name
- Name of SWCD
- Room Nights Needed
- Phone Number - Please go ahead and make a reservation for the nights that the hotel has available for the nights you are wanting to stay. This allows it to be a simpler process when I move you off the wait list since you will already have all of your information on file.
Pre-Registration Information:
- Pre-Registration will opened July 2nd and will close September 2nd.
- Pre-registration costs for both director and guest are $225 which includes the Monday night dinner and Tuesday awards luncheon
- We will be offering a ticketed Auxiliary Activity of Chair Yoga with breakfast ($40) on Tuesday, September 30th and a Flood Control Structure tour ($35) for Wednesday, October 1st. **The tours and auxiliary activity slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis, once payment and form have been received.
- Deadline for refunds will be close of business on September 8th.
