Water Quality and Pollutant Loading Assessment in the Angelina River above Sam Rayburn Watershed

Project Goals/Objectives: This project will investigate current water quality in the watershed through an integrated assessment of existing watershed and water quality data, collection and additional intensive water quality data analysis and local watershed stakeholder engagement. It will identify and establish a baseline pollutant source understanding and quantify existing pollutant loads and define load reductions needed to achieve applicable water quality standards. Cultivating local support to improve water quality is a primary goal for this effort. 

Project Location: Angelina, Cherokee, Nacogdoches, Rusk, and Smith counties

Project Partners: TSSWCB, TWRI, and ANRA
