Area landowners and citizens interested in the implementation of the Lower Nueces River Watershed Protection Plan (WPP) are invited to a public meeting on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. The meeting is hosted by the Nueces River Authority and will be held at the Hilltop Community Center (Room SW #1) located at 11425 Leopard in Corpus Christi from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The meeting will focus on implementation activities and upcoming events in the watershed.
TEMPLE – The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB) is announcing the release of the 2017 Annual Report. The Nonpoint Source Management in Texas – 2017 Annual Report is a jointly published report by the TSSWCB and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and is a culmination of the State’s efforts to ensure and improve the quality of water in Texas. The report highlights annual load reductions of nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment and success stories achieved on waterbodies across the state.
KYLE – The Plum Creek Watershed Partnership (Partnership) welcomes the public to participate in our next quarterly stakeholder meeting set for February 15 at the City of Kyle, Fire Station #1 – Community Room. Fire Station #1 is located at 210 W. Moore Street, Kyle, TX 78640.
Sign in and social time begin at 6 p.m. with food and refreshments to be provided for all meeting attendees. The meeting is free and open to the public.
WYLIE—The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently accepted the Lavon Lake Watershed Protection Plan (WPP) as meeting the agency’s guidelines for watershed-based plans. The Lavon Lake WPP outlines a strategy to implement management measures that will help improve and protect water quality in the watershed.
