Coordinating Implementation of the Cedar Bayou Watershed Protection Plan

Project Goals/Objectives: Project Goals include: 1) Facilitating ongoing stakeholder involvement and participation in the Cedar Bayou Watershed Partnership (CBWP), 2) Coordinating implementation efforts by watershed partners, 3) Continuing evaluation of water quality data, 4) Supporting and facilitating the CBWP in identifying management measures to improve water quality, developing proposals to acquire funding for implementation of management measures, managing and tracking implementation projects as well as encouraging adoption of best management practices, 5) evaluating progress toward achieving milestones established in the WPP, 6) Conducting and coordinating water resources and related environmental education and outreach activities, and 7) Conducting pilot implementation activities.

Project Location: Cedar Bayou watershed in Harris, Liberty, and Chambers Counties

Project Costs: Federal ($144,345); Non Federal Match ($56,403); Total Project: ($200,748)
