Each year the TSSWCB and the ATSWCD hosts a leadership development workshop for new and current Soil and Water Conservation District Directors and employees, as well as USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service employees. The workshop is intended to educate participants on policies, conservation programs, resources and a variety of other topics that help lay the foundation for a successful Soil and Water Conservation District.

Texas Section Society for Range Management 63rd Youth Range Workshop

Junction -

At the TSSRM Youth Range Workshop is open to youth are 14-18 years old, and have completed the 8th grade, but have not graduated from high school. This workshop will be held at the Texas Tech Campus in Junction.

The workshop is $350, and includes all meals, lodging, and educational materials needed during the week. Participants are encouraged to seek sponsorships from various sources, including soil and water conservation districts or local ranches, and are then asked to go back after the workshops to present what they learned to those sponsors.
