Development of a Watershed Protection Plan for Double Bayou

Project Goals/Objectives: To develop a nine element Watershed Protection Plan (WPP) for the Double Bayou watershed by 1) establishing and providing direction for a stakeholder group that will serve as a decision-making body, 2) conducting targeted water quality sampling and analysis, 3) identifying and analyzing spatial and temporal patterns in watershed data; and 4) increasing education among targeted audience.

Project Location: Double Bayou watershed in Chambers and Liberty Counties.

Project Costs: Federal ($1,023,614); Non Federal Match ($388,149); Total Project: ($1,411,763)
